Below you can find detailed information about the application and registration process for incoming exchange students.
Nomination and Application Deadlines

Acceptance letter cannot be prepared for students who were not able to complete the online application before the deadline.
Online Application Process
Upon the confirmation of your nomination, you will receive a welcome e-mail with details regarding how to apply online. Please follow the steps in the application guideline which will be sent you and complete your online application.
After all applications are received until the deadlines declared above, we will review the documents and start sending the acceptance letters to students. Please keep in mind that your learning agreement must be fully signed in order to receive the acceptance letter!
Required Documents for Online Application
- 1 passport size photo
- Official Transcript of Records (which shows all courses you have taken and grades you received until the semester you are applying for)
- Passport copy
- International Health Insurance (Your insurance scope should cover the limitations within the below table)
- Signed application form (The document will be sent to you via e-mail)

Course Registrations

The medium of instruction at IUE is English. However, some faculties such as Law, Health Sciences and Vocational School are taught in Turkish. The students must check the language of each course while registering.
While choosing your courses, please pay attention to the semesters. The courses are offered according to the semesters. A course offered in fall semester, is not offered in spring semester. Your Erasmus coordinators at IUE will be guiding you for course selections.

IUE Office of International Affairs does not register students to any course. Exchange students will register to their courses between the dates and using the guideline which is announced by Student Affairs Directorate through the student information system.
PLEASE NOTE THAT the learning agreements signed by IUE are PROVISIONAL and subject to any change if there occur any course overlaps or if any of the courses are not offered. Under such circumstances, students will be able to add and drop courses between the dates that Student Affairs Directorate announced. Students are responsible for following up their own personal course registrations.
Be careful that some of the elective courses may not be opened. If the selected courses are not offered, you have right to change it when you come here!

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and Buddy System
ESN IUE is a section that was established with the support of Office of International Affairs in İzmir University of Economics.
