Life on Campus
ACCOMMODATION
Izmir University of Economics Student Dormitory has been established to provide healthy, secure, and clean accommodation to students coming from different parts of Turkey and from abroad, and to support and ease their communal life. The Student Dormitory, which was opened in 2006, is conveniently located on Campus. In addition to being a part of the University, the Student Dormitory is second home to many, so we do our best to make them feel at home. Therefore, we like to greet all students by saying “Welcome Home” instead of a simple “Welcome”. Please click for further information.
If the dormitory is not preferred, there are also furnished apartments in the district available with reasonable prices.
STUDENT CLUB
We know that learning is not just about lessons. Our Health, Culture, and Sports Directorate offers you a social and sportive environment. Thanks to 82 student clubs, you can improve yourself and make new hobbies according to your personal interests.

SMART CAMPUS
Our university provides education with the "Smart Campus", which facilitates effective learning, does not limit learning in only course hours, provides access to course materials in digital environment. With the smart campus, you can connect to the courses live via the digital environment and follow the course. You can re-watch course recordings anytime and anywhere so you can repeat the topics.

DISABLED STUDENT UNIT
Our campus was built to facilitate the transportation of our orthopedically disabled individuals. We are always ready for support with the 'Disabled Student Support Unit' in our Health, Culture and Sports Directorate.

HEALTH SERVICES
We have a doctor and a nurse in charge at our university. When you have a health problem, you can get the first medical support at our campus.

You can get counseling and support from our (PGDM) clinical psychologists in Psychological Development and Counseling Center.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES
At our university, you can take part in basketball, sailing, football, American football, tennis, volleyball, swimming and chess teams that are trained by experienced instructors throughout the year. You can represent İzmir University of Economics in the competitions. You can also use Balçova Sports Complex where is 5 minutes away from the campus.

LIBRARY
In our library, we have a rich book collection and e-resources that you can access information from. In our library, there are 63 thousand printed and 662 thousand electronic books, also 27 desktop computers are available for research and studying. You can work in our library either alone or with your friends. You can also benefit from the music and movie archive.

IUE has a main cafeteria and a restaurant serving a large variety of choices, ranging from traditional Turkish dishes to fast food meals. Alternatively, they can also use the other cafes located in or around campus serving different tastes.
