Times Higher Education (THE) /Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)

All degrees / diplomas awarded by Izmir University of Economics have international validity. IUE alumni can continue their graduate / Phd education abroad with their IUE diplomas, or continue their professional life in the country they choose.

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has been listed among the ‘best universities’ in the rankings prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), two of the most respected international ranking organizations. Having successfully passed the evaluations in various areas such as research, employment, teaching, global participation, knowledge transfer, and sustainability, IUE demonstrated its quality of education and became the only foundation university in the Aegean Region to make it to the list.

In the evaluation conducted by the University Research Laboratory in 2023, IUE was ranked as one of the top 10 universities in Turkiye where students are most satisfied.

A total of 1,904 universities from 108 countries were included in the 2024 World Rankings announced by the THE, headquartered in London, United Kingdom. The number of universities from Turkiye on the list was 75. IUE was ranked 36th among the universities listed in Turkiye and ranked 1506th in the world ranking.

Another organization based in the UK, QS, included 688 higher education institutions in the European University Rankings. Turkiye had 72 universities in the QS ranking. IUE ranked 31st among universities in Turkiye and was placed in the 541-550 range in the overall ranking.

Scimago Institutions Ranking

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Mathematics has proven its quality of education internationally. Spain-based ranking organization Scimago Institutions Ranking ranked IUE Department of Mathematics as 261st in the world and second in our country, as a result of detailed examinations on many criteria such as the international studies of faculty members, the number of publications and the educational content of the department.
