Outgoing International Exchange Students
Under the framework of İzmir University of Economics' international academic protocols, the application process for students who wish to participate in a one or two-semester international exchange program at a partner university is managed by Office of International Affairs.
Unlike the Erasmus program, applications for international exchange programs are opened depending on whether the partner university will accept exchange students in the relevant academic year. Students who wish to apply this program should follow the announcements on the office’s website.
Who Can Apply?
The application criteria for international exchange programs under general academic protocols are announced according to the terms of protocols. The applications are received as announced in the calls for application.
Depending on the terms of the agreement with the partner university, there might be restrictions for some faculties/departments that can apply.
Students in double major programs can apply only from one of their majors.
Important Information Before the Application
- Consult to the Exchange program/ERASMUS+ Coordinator at your department before deciding on the partner university for your international mobility program. You can access the departmental coordinator list on https://ects.ieu.edu.tr/new/idari.php?id=29
- Be careful about the language requirements at the partner university. Carefully search for the courses according to your area of study and level of local language.
- Be aware of the fact that you will not receive any grant or financial assistance for this mobility program.
- Students are obliged to pay their tuition fee for the exchange semester to IUE by the deadline of payment indicated on the academic calendar.
- Be aware that you are responsible for all costs such as accommodation, transportation, personal expenses, dining, health insurance, etc.
- Apply directly to IUE Office of International Affairs, NOT to partner university.
