Collabrations
As Izmir University of Economics, we brought the Campus Izmir model, the first model of university-city integration nationwide, into effect. We initiated a system which allows the hi-quality businesses in our city to see the workshops, labs, research centers on campus as their own workplaces, and see our students as their future partners. Being supported by Izmir Chamber of Commerce with its 80 thousand members, the University provides “Guaranteed Internship”, “Employment References”, “Continuous Scholarships”, and “Global Connections” to its students.
Campus Izmir allows students to work at logistic centers, high technology zones, factories, hospitals, and government services of Izmir while continuing with their studies. Our students, who have the privilege of getting familiar with the business world, set their career goals, establish business networks, and experience the pleasure of becoming productive, get ahead of their peers in a world where competition increases with each passing day.
The University has collaboration agreements with 3 thousand 252 companies. Our students get a chance to perform internship, and then find employment at leading companies with high reputation not only in Turkey but abroad as well. 41 of the companies, the University has collaboration agreements with, are foreign companies. Our students, who are also taking advantage of the broad overseas connections of the University, represent our country successfully in different parts of the world.
