Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Mobilities (BIPs)
Blended intensive programs (BIPs) are short-term programs that use innovative teaching and learning techniques including the use of online cooperation. By enablinng new and more flexible mobility formats that combine physical and virtual mobilities, these programs aim at reaching all types of students from all backgrounds, study fields and cycles.
BIPs allow higher education institutions to collaboratively develop group work, teaching and learning programs for their students, academic and administrative staff, and make it possible to use innovative and virtual tools in these programs.
Duration of the Mobility
The activities organized under BIPs include a physical mobility between 5-30 days and a compulsory virtual component. Participanting students are awarded with individual and travel support for physical mobility.
Applications are received via TURNAPortal system powered by Turkish National Agency.
Application and Selection Process
The application criteria for students applying for BIPs are determined according to the structure of program. Office of International Affairs includes the criteria in the application guide in their announcement.
Financial Support
Students have the chance to receive financial support from the European Commission for the period that they participate in physical mobility for the program. The amount of the daily grant and travel grant allocated for the students are determined each year by the National Agency and announced in the Application Guide.
The financial support is not going to be reimbursed, it does not aim to cover all the expenses of the student; the purpose is to help the student for the additional expenses caused by the mobility. Students can also participate in blended intensive mobilities without an Erasmus+ grant.
