Online Training on Sustainable Tourism and Climate Action
In line with the decisions of the United Nations Interagency Working Group on Tourism and Climate Action, online training programmes and a guidance document have been developed with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and competencies of stakeholders in the tourism sector and relevant academic units.
The training programmes, which are available free of charge and have been prepared in English and Spanish, cover key topics aimed at strengthening climate action in the tourism sector.
The training programmes address critical areas that directly align with climate action objectives, including:
• Sustainable energy management
• Sustainable water management
• Sustainable food management
• Sustainable community engagement
The training programmes and guidance document are intended to contribute to enhancing the knowledge, capacity, and practical implementation of sustainability and climate action within the tourism sector.
