Events and Projects
As the Teaching and Learning Center, we offer a variety of events and training sessions both for our faculty members and students.

In addition to those events, we also take part in institutional projects. The organization, monitoring and reporting of the following programs were carried out by our center.
Academic and administrative staff at our university are required by law to complete the Occupational Health and Safety Training and obtain their certificates. With the support of our center, all personnel can periodically access the relevant training content, complete the exam, and receive their certificates through the Blackboard Learn learning management system. IUE students also complete the Occupational Health and Safety training on the said learning management system and obtain the certificate necessary for their internship.
The year 2021 was announced as the "Disaster Education Year in Turkey" by the Ministry of Interior. Within the scope of the 2021 Disaster Awareness Training Protocol between AFAD (Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency) and our Rectorate, the "Disaster Awareness Training" materials were made accessible on the learning management system to all our students, and academic and administrative staff.
Within the scope of the "Zero Waste Project" led by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, academic and administrative staff were informed about the Zero Waste Project and the practices carried out in our university. The training materials were made available through the learning management system, and the organization, monitoring and reporting of the following programs were carried out by our center.
The academic staff at Izmir University of Economics Medical Park Hospital are periodically given face-to-face training on the use of educational technologies and e-learning pedagogy. Regular support for the use of educational technologies is also provided by the TLC.
As the Teaching and Learning Center, we conducted "Hayat Akademisi’ne İlk Adım" social responsibility project, which involved a series of activities and training sessions for Çiğli Harmandalı İÖO students and teachers given by some volunteer IUE instructors. The project was carried out between April 4 - 29, 2022 with 722 kindergarten and primary school students. Practical activities for students on topics such as critical thinking, introduction to economics, healthy nutrition, the basics of coding, the concept of architecture for children, foreign language culture, creative thinking and kids yoga were carried out.
