UTILIZED HIS EDUCATION WELL
Stating that the education he received and the connections he made at IUE Faculty of Business with full scholarship played a significant role in reaching where he is today, Gürel said, “Going abroad and using the knowledge I gained there was always on my mind. Going to Spain and the Netherlands as part of Erasmus during my university years further strengthened this idea. Additionally, as a student, I represented my University by reaching the finals in the ‘Research Competition’ organized by the CFA Institute, one of the most respected international organizations in finance. All these experiences greatly contributed to my development and gaining experience abroad.”
LIKE A MOVIE REEL
Gürel continued as follows, “After graduation, during my job application process, my reference was Prof. Dr. Berna Aydoğan. The process passes before my eyes like a movie reel. Now I am in the Netherlands, where I wanted to be. I am very grateful to my professors and family who trusted and supported me.” Gürel also added that he wants to pursue a post-master's degree in auditing and accounting to obtain a CPA license and advance in the field of auditing."
