IUE kindergartners graduated

There was graduation excitement at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten, the only kindergarten belonging to a foundation university in Izmir. Twenty children in the 5-6 age group wore their gowns and tossed their caps into the air, just like university students. IUE kindergartners, who sang songs and danced with their families, had an unforgettable and fun-filled evening.
At the year-end event of Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten, which started serving under Izmir University of Economics in 2022, other students attending the kindergarten also earned great admiration from their families with the activities they performed, in addition to the graduating children.
THE FIRST DIPLOMAS OF THEIR EDUCATION LIVES
The children, who sang songs they learned in English and Italian classes and demonstrated the Zumba they practiced in sports class, had a day full of joy. At the end of the ceremony, the children, who received the first diplomas of their lives and tossed their caps with great excitement and enthusiasm, created colorful scenes.
SOWING THE SEEDS OF THE FUTURE
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, IUE Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Aslı Ceylan Öner, who stated that they were witnessing a very special moment, said, “It is a wonderful feeling for us to see children growing and maturing. They have given us hope and made us adults smile with their energy. Here, we are not only celebrating graduation but also the first big step these children are taking towards the future. They will become the artists, doctors, teachers, and engineers of the future. Today, we are all together sowing the seeds of this potential. The loving guidance of families has a significant share in the success of children. I would like to congratulate families along with the children.”
A YEAR OF LEARNING AND DISCOVERY
Addressing the families, Lecturer Ezgi Oral Bozkurtoğlu, Director of IUE Children's University Research and Application Center, said, “It has been a great year of learning and discovery not only for children but for all of us. The children grew, learned, and developed with the support and love of you, their parents. Witnessing their growth and development process has been a very valuable experience for us. You waited for their first words and first steps. They experienced completing a picture on their own and sharing a game with a friend for the first time at school. Of course, we also faced challenging times during the semester. Sometimes we laughed out loud at what we experienced, sometimes we didn’t know what to do. But our team and families always worked devotedly with the children. We are celebrating the graduation of another class and sending our children off to primary school. I wish all of them success throughout their educational lives.”
