‘A’ quality university

The TUMA (Turkish Universities Satisfaction Survey) aims to rank universities based on the satisfaction level indicated by students. In addition to the general evaluation, in the research conducted on 6 different categories, IUE was shown as one of the universities that meets the expectations of the students at a high level. Izmir University of Economics received A+ in the categories of ‘learning experience’ and ‘personal development and career support’. Receiving A in the categories of ‘university campus and life satisfaction’, ‘academic support’, ‘satisfaction with the management and operation of the institution’ and ‘learning opportunities’, IUE was shown among the best universities in Turkey in these criteria as well.

WE CAME TO PROMINENCE

IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu stated that as a university that is preferred at national and international level, they carry their success graph to a higher point day by day. Stating that they stand out with their technological infrastructure, internationally experienced academics and student-oriented education approach, Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu said, “We have an increasing momentum in the fields of education, research and contribution to society, which are the main duties of a university. Research by independent authorities also shows this.”

WE TAKE THE RIGHT STEPS WITH QUALIFIED PROJECTS

Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu continued as follows: “Our University has been awarded the ‘institutional accreditation’ given by the Higher Education Quality Board (YOKAK). It has become one of the few universities that have successfully passed the examination in many fields such as education, research and development, social contribution, leadership, and management system. Also, the number of accredited departments we have increased to 14 in 2022. As of 2022, the rate of accredited departments in all state and foundation universities is 14 percent, while this rate is 26 percent in our university. Our University ranks 18th in the number of projects carried out with international cooperation and 12th in the ranking of funds obtained from these among the 50 universities included in the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index of TUBITAK. I can say that our University stands out with its multidisciplinary research teams in fields such as artificial intelligence, computational neuroscience, resilience, sustainable energy and Nano-bioengineering. All these are proofs that we, as a university, have taken the right steps by foreseeing the future and producing quality projects. We will continue to work to provide our students with the best opportunities without compromising quality education.”
