International accreditation for Izmir University of Economics
Izmir University of Economics Continuing education Center (IUE EKOSEM) became the first foundation university in Turkey to have received an international accreditation given by "Pearson" company operating in the field of education solutions in nearly 100 countries. IUE EKOSEM, which has been scrutinized by the British supervisor on many issues from classroom conditions to educational qualifications and the operation of the system, passed all criteria and was awarded the "Pearson Assured" accreditation. IUE EKOSEM Director Prof. Nesrin Oruç Ertürk said, “Trainings in different fields such as language, institution, professional development, and personal development will be internationally recognized.”
Supervisions conducted by Pearson, a solution partner of institutions in the field of education in many countries including the United States (USA), Europe and the Middle East, took place online due to the pandemic. Many criteria such as the facilities provided by the University and the Center, the content and quality of the training courses, classroom conditions, distribution of tasks within the Center and technological infrastructure were carefully examined during the supervisions. As a result of examinations that lasted about 1 year, it was determined that IUE EKOSEM fulfilled all the requirements.
QUALITY AND ASSURANCE
Stating that they achieved a significant success by obtaining the Pearson Assured accreditation, IUE EKOSEM Director Prof. Nesrin Oruç Ertürk said, “Pearson Assured is an internationally recognized quality assurance and accreditation system developed by Pearson, the world's largest education solutions company. The quality assurance and accreditation service provided by Pearson is developed according to world standards and is internationally accepted. earlier This accreditation was received by Bogazici University Lifelong Learning Center and Selcuk University Continuing Education Center in Turkey before. We became the third center. We became the first among foundation universities in Turkey however.”
THEY WILL CONTINUE WITH THEIR CAREERS
Emphasizing that those who complete their education at IUE EKOSEM will be entitled to receive certificates accredited by Pearson Assured, Prof. Ertürk said that these certificates would have a more comprehensive validity. Prof. Ertürk said, “The certificates earned by the program participants will support them to continue their careers in the regions mentioned. Certificates will have international validity. This makes the University, which already provides an international education, brings to the fore even more.”
IUE EKOSEM ACTIVITIES
IUE EKOSEM plans training programs for public, private sector and international organizations and individuals in the areas they need. It also offers package programs, organizes and coordinates national and international courses, seminars, conferences, education fairs. The Center organizes trainings on many different subjects such as language, institution, professional development, exam preparation and personal development.
