İZMİR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS HOSTED LIFELONG LEARNING DAYS
İzmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin visited the project stands one by one that were set up in the scope of the Lifelong Learning Days. Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin got information about each project and thank to the participants, he said, “We are happy to host Lifelong Learning Days. The contribution of the projects to development will increase.”
On the other hand, European Union Youth Desk Public Relations Director Melih Çalık said, “We would like to thank to İzmir University of Economics and Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin for supporting us in this event that gathers potential beneficiaries and project owners.”
Center for EU Education and Youth Programs that work as an institution of Prime Ministry State Planning Organization is responsible form the implementing, financing and generalizing Education and Youth Programs that are in the scope of the EU Community Programs. Turkey, which is among 31 countries with full participation to the programs, is the 7th country that has the largest budget in terms of the grants being distributed.
Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) that contains all the activities about education aims to create an information society, provide more and better employment opportunities, develop social cohesion, strengthen exchange, cooperation and mobility among the education systems in the society in order to provide protection of the environment for the next generation through lifelong learning.
