IUE STILL HOLDS THE DOORS OPEN FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE!
Izmir University of Economics allows additional quota applications until September 30 for those who dream about a successful future. Ekrem Demirtaş, The President of the IUE Board of Trustees, stated that their doors for a brighter future were still open, and they were hoping to see the young people at Izmir University of Economics who wanted to get ready for a bright future with world standard education without having to lose another year.
President Demirtaş, who indicated their priority has always been the students in their rapidly increasing success rates since 2001, stated the following:
“Since our establishment up until now ‘we did not say we knew everything’. We observed the successful universities of the world. We established our education system. Our priority has always been the ‘students’. Then we identified the needs of our country and the business world. We followed a flexible instruction program to the extent that YOK (Higher Education Council) allowed us. We opened new departments in our country not opened by any other university until 2001. We made it all the way here. But we made it successfully. Our successful students, who perceive everything that is being taught to them and take their part in business life, have the biggest portion in this success rate. We want those candidates who were not placed into any programs to hurry up and choose IUE to begin their journey to a bright future.”
Prof. Dr. Tunçdan Baltacıoğlu, IUE Rector, indicated that they presented their distinction with a completely renewed education approach aiming for a universal vision. Prof. Dr. Baltacıoğlu said, “With this system that is in effect as of the beginning of the new academic year, instead of adopting a mechanical education system that turns students into operators of the area they studied in, we adopt an organic, modular, and flexible education philosophy that will enable them to be raised as individuals with a broad vision and life stance. We aim to make our students focus on science, philosophy, art, literature, history of humanity, intellectual tradition, in other words everything about life, and to increase their knowledge and awareness about being human, regardless of their faculties in their first years.” Prof. Dr. Baltacıoğlu invited the candidates to breathe in the exquisite scientific atmosphere at Izmir University of Economics.
