Accreditation to the Education Quality
At Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which has strengthened its technological infrastructure, curriculum, and academic staff with the aim of improving education quality, five more programs have been accredited, once again proving the University’s commitment to quality education. The Paramedic, Medical Laboratory Techniques, Elderly Care, Computer Programming, and Architectural Restoration programs offered at IUE successfully passed the evaluations conducted by the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK).
With the goal of supporting the development of vocational schools and educational programs in Turkey, MEDEK carried out comprehensive reviews at IUE’s Vocational School and Vocational School of Health Services.
CERTIFICATES PRESENTED
A wide range of aspects, from course content in the curriculum to the physical facilities provided to students and the projects implemented, were thoroughly examined. All five programs at IUE successfully completed the rigorous evaluation process and earned accreditation. Bursa Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar visited IUE to present the accreditation certificates on behalf of MEDEK.
“EDUCATION QUALITY IS OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITY”
Emphasizing that accreditation is of great importance in demonstrating the University’s educational approach and quality vision, IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu said, “Accreditation is not merely a document or a formal approval process. It is a very important indicator that ensures quality, continuity, and international standards in education. As Izmir University of Economics, we consider education quality a strategic priority and take our steps accordingly.”
“SUPPORTING EMPLOYMENT”
Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu continued as follows: “We continuously update our technological infrastructure, renew our curricula in line with the needs of the sector and the times, and strengthen our academic staff in terms of both scientific productivity and educational competence. The programs accredited by MEDEK also directly contribute to increasing our graduates’ professional qualifications and employability.” Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu added that the University would continue working with the goal of becoming an institution that prepares young people for the future in the best possible way and has strong international competitiveness.
