15 Thousand Young People Await This Fair
Izmir University of Economics (IUE) will organize a 5-day ‘Career Fair’ with the goal of providing new job opportunities for its students and graduates. A total of 119 companies from various sectors including technology, textiles, healthcare, communication, and tourism will participate at the fair, where young people will have the chance to meet representatives from companies they wish to work for, hold private face-to-face interviews, and submit their CVs. The fair, expected to host at least 15 thousand participants on March 9–13, will be open exclusively to IUE students and alumni.
Organized through the cooperation of the IUE Career Guidance Center and the Alumni Relations Office, the Career Fair will allow young participants to meet with professional human resources managers and gain specialized insights into what to focus on during job interviews. Companies, in return, will find it easy to reach the qualified, young workforce they seek and strengthen their teams.
“WE WILL BREAK A 12-YEAR RECORD”
Özge Kulaçoğlu, Coordinator of the Alumni Relations Office, stated that they have organized the fair without interruption for 12 years and are preparing to break a record for the number of participating companies this year. Announcing that they will host major brands operating both in Turkey and internationally on campus, Kulaçoğlu noted that approximately 50 companies that have never participated before will join them this year. Kulaçoğlu said, “We place great importance on our students stepping into post-graduation life in a strong, conscious, and confident manner. The Career Fair, which we have brought to life with this vision, serves as a significant turning point in the career journeys of our students. The fair experience is also crucial for students to clarify their career goals, identify their weaknesses, and realize earlier which areas they need to develop.”
“WE CLOSELY FOLLOW THE BUSINESS WORLD”
Mentioning the innovative approach of Izmir University of Economics, Kulaçoğlu added, “As a University, we closely follow the changing business world and continuously develop new practices and opportunities based on our students' needs. The Career Fair is one of the most concrete examples of this vision. Our goal is not just to graduate individuals with diplomas, but to produce professionals who know the industries, can express themselves, and are ready for the future. Our University will continue to produce innovative projects, strengthen industry cooperation, and accompany young people on their career journeys, both today and in the future.”
