Showcasing the ‘Momentum’
Senior students from the Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design completed their educational journey with an unforgettable fashion show and exhibition. A special collection of approximately 50 pieces, prepared by 9 graduating students from the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, was presented to the audience in a spectacular fashion show. Showcasing their creative ideas and unique designs at the event held under the theme 'Momentum,' the young designers received standing ovations from the crowd.
While every floor of the faculty building transformed into a stop on this creative journey, Rönesans Model Agency, which organized the fashion show, managed the event flawlessly and delivered a visual feast. The exhibition, featuring projects brought to life by approximately 200 graduating students from the departments of Architecture, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, also received full marks from visitors.
DIGITAL CATALOG PREPARED
The projects, which the students brought to life with great meticulousness, were compiled into a digital catalog. The catalog includes two- and three-dimensional visuals, as well as videos of the projects. The fashion show was attended by IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aslı Ceylan Öner, Izmir Chamber of Commerce Vice President of the Assembly Mehmet Tahir Özdemir, Assembly Member Jak Eskinazi, Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association Chairman Yasin Akçakaya, deans, department heads, academics from various universities, sector representatives, guests, and families.
“THEY HAVE BEGUN TO CHART THEIR OWN PATHS”
Congratulating the students, Prof. Dr. Ender Yazgan Bulgun, Dean of the IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, said, "Our students shared the special works they produced at the end of their 4-year education with the guests. Noting how a journey that begins with small steps gains strength over time, we set the theme of this year's event as ‘Momentum’. All the works turned into highly valuable projects, showing that the young designers have begun to find their own voices and chart their own paths. These projects, carrying the dreams, sensitivities, and hopes for the future of our youth, have shown us all how successful work can emerge when creative vision, technique, and hard work come together. Our students have proven once again how well-educated they are. I congratulate all academics and students who contributed to our fashion show and exhibition."
