Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer, IUE Vice Rector, indicated that being a university graduate was not good enough for a prosperous life any more, and he said, “20–30 years ago, graduating from any university was a good enough reason to lead a good, comfortable life. The university graduates were able to find jobs in some way or another, however, today is a different story. It has become obvious that offering a high quality education, keeping in touch with the rapid developments worldwide, and students improving themselves socially is very important nowadays. As Izmir University of Economics, we are accompanying our students in their journey for future with a high quality education. We are using every means available to help our students.” Prof. Dr. Dinçer stated that youth today would become future managers and businessmen, and therefore, they offered educational and social opportunities worthy of world leaders.
With more than 70 student clubs offering options in culture, art, and sports; new memberships were accepted at the stands opened during the orientation program. The student clubs explained their 2013-2014 academic year activity plans and promoted their clubs at the stands organized by Student and Sports Unit.
