FIRST THE PERSONALITY INVENTORY AND THEN THE INTERVIEW
Izmir University of Economics is providing its students who will graduate soon with an important advantage in their fields through two projects that were prepared to give the students a successful career alongside with other educational capabilities.
The students take a personality inventory test of projects, in the first place, developed by Career Orientation Centre and afterwards with the help of the collaborating institutions they participate in personal interviews and get ready for the job interviews which they’ll have after graduation. In order to eliminate excitement which is one of the most important issues of being successful in an interview, the career orientation centre which collaborates with the students also teaches an interview Project, a role-play, alongside with an interview training.

The students are to apply for this Project with their CV’s and they will have personal interviews with staff employment experts in an office environment. Izmir University of Economics which is supported by various sectors and counselling institutions is preparing its students who will graduate soon with real interviews for their careers. The career centre is giving the students an opportunity of a personal interview through the cooperation of leading companies such as Pepsi, Delphi Diesels Systems, Nora Lojistik, Inci Holding, Meditera, Yeni Asır, JTI, Kimtaş and Schneider, and through the personality inventory it’s playing an important role in job selection.

Through the 16PF Personality Inventory Test which is used wide-spread in the whole world and accepted as the most trustworthy test 16 basic personal features and 5 general personal capabilities are assessed. By applying this test to the students, the career orientation centre is playing an important role in the process of their development phase. As a result of the test given by the Institute for Behavioural Sciences in Turkey a career development report is prepared for the students and detailed information is given regarding the sectors and departments they could work in and the posts they can take.
