They got their diplomas, but did not forget Izmir University of Economics

A satisfaction survey conducted by the University Research Laboratory (UNIAR) among young people who graduated from undergraduate programs between 2017 and 2024 has highlighted the success of Izmir University of Economics (IUE). According to the survey conducted among popular programs, 9 departments at IUE ranked in the top 10 nationwide in terms of graduate satisfaction. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu said, “These results are a strong expression of our graduates’ sense of belonging and trust in our University, which we have always taken pride in. The happiness and satisfaction of our graduates is our strongest motivation.”

UNIAR conducted the study, titled “Graduate Satisfaction in Popular Programs,” based on data collected through online surveys from graduates of undergraduate programs. The survey consisted of four parts: ‘Sense of Belonging’, ‘Effect of Undergraduate Education on Employment’, ‘Applicability of Education in Professional Life’, and ‘Willingness to Recommend the University’. These four sections were then combined to calculate a ‘General Satisfaction Score’, and universities were ranked accordingly among the top 15.

At the national level, IUE’s Faculty of Medicine and Department of Visual Communication Design ranked 4th, Departments of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design ranked 6th, Department of Nursing ranked 7th, Department of Political Science and International Relations ranked 9th, and Departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Economics, and Law ranked 10th. While the Department of Psychology secured 11th place, Department of Architecture came in 12th. In the Aegean Region, the Faculty of Medicine, Departments of Law, Visual Communication Design, Political Science and International Relations, Nursing, and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design were all ranked first.
