EXPERTS OF THE NEW ERA

Izmir University of Economics Master’s Programs will train experts that meet the requirements of digital era and needs of the business world. Management and Managerial Development Program, which will admit students for the first time this year, will focus on real life business experiences and Harvard case studies. Students will be taught all aspects of business administration, communication, and relations aspect. Again, Design Management Master’s Program and Occupational Health and Safety Master’s Program will be training educated experts this year. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Esen stated that they offered education to individuals who aspire to become entrepreneurial and innovative in both professional and academic careers within the Graduate Schools of Business, Social Sciences, and Natural and Applied Sciences at the University. Prof. Dr. Esen reported that graduate programs in business administration field were renewed to meet the needs of the era and the business world and he said, “The programs are redesigned and diversified. Both the number of programs and the demand for these programs has increased significantly in the last 5 years.”
‘Master’s Degree for Those Who Want to Excel’
Prof. Dr. Esen stated that they offered Business Administration Distance Education Graduate Program (e-MBA) for those who cannot make it to the campus due to time and location problems, and offered Finance Program for those who just want to make a career in financial services. He also said that the medium of instruction was English in principle, however, some of the programs offered Turkish options. “Doing masters means throwing a lasso at the future. Master’s programs allow a person to focus on the area they want to specialize in. Prolonged life span and work hours will cause fundamental career changes in experts. They will have to add new areas of specialization. That’s why master’s programs play a vital role. We now see professionals with more than one master’s degrees. Those, who want to excel quickly in their careers, opt for master’s degree education,” said Prof. Dr. Esen.
