THE SUCCESS OF IUE STUDENTS CROSSED THE BORDERS
Muazzez Ezgi Sezar, the student of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences won a scholarship on European Studies from Birmingham University of England. Sezar, who won Jean Monnet Scholarship that is given only for 25 students every year, will study about European Union common foreign and security policy.
Izmir University of Economics Department of Economics Research Assistant and Finance Economy Master Program student Onur Ateş are admitted to Macquarie University in Sydney with a full scholarship for Doctorate Program. Ateş will work with David Thorsby, who is one of the leading names in the field of putting cultural heritage in use in terms of economics. Ateş will also be one of the researchers in the project entitled “Investment Appraisal in the Cultural Sector: Accounting for Economic and Cultural Value”.
Izmir University of Economics Department of Economics 4th grade student Emre Altıntaş will make a presentation in the 4th Historical Materialism Conference in London on November 9-11, 2007. Altıntaş will attend the Conference in London with his teacher Izmir University of Economics Department of Economics Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Ufuk Tutan and he will talk about the effects of the hot money on Turkish economy.
