IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND SAKARYA PRIMARY SCHOOL CELEBRATED APRIL 23 TOGETHER
Izmir University of Economics Folk Dance Club trainers Teoman Dalcı, Hakan Koçan and Music Consultant Alaskar Abbasov trained students in Sakarya Primary School in Ege District for April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day. After the trainings, the children presented their dance and music shows in Cumhuriyet Square hand-in-hand with the university students.
In the activities that took place in Cumhuriyet Square, firstly, Burak Çatı from Sakarya Primary School made a speech. Çatı thanked to Izmir University of Economics for their support and later he congratulated his friends’ April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Later on, IUE Students’ Council President Yağız Kaan Kazançoğlu stated that they are really happy to be on stage together with their brothers and sisters that they had worked together and he said that they are proud of these children’s determination, ambition and success.
Later, Sakarya Primary School and Izmir University of Economics Folk Dance Clubs presented various folk dance shows. The activities that the people in Izmir showed great interest in went on with the rhythm show by the university and primary school students. All the students and the people in Izmir sang “10. Yıl Marşı” by waving Turkish flags. In the end of the celebrations Izmir University of Economics Band “Grup Turuncu” gave a concert.
