Clock : 9:30 AM-11:00 AM
Place : D002
Explanation :
At EKOLİDER, we prioritize hosting figures who place social impact and ethical values at the core of their work. On April 16, our guest will be Selin Şenköken—a director who, with a background in psychology, has developed a unique language across documentary, cinema, and theater, shedding light on stories at the margins of society with great sensitivity.
A graduate of the University of Edinburgh’s Psychology department, Şenköken began her career in Barcelona working on projects broadcast on Spanish national channels. she garnered significant acclaim with her award-winning documentary Orchids in Fire, which premiered at the 57th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and was subsequently released on MUBI. Having served as an assistant to Tolga Karaçelik on Netflix projects and directed the play Nora: A Doll’s House at the İKSV Theater Festival last year, Şenköken is currently working on her second feature-length documentary, In Blue.
In this session, we will discuss with Şenköken the "governance" dimension of directing, the ethics of representation, and the power of storytelling in social transformation. You are cordially invited to this inspiring morning session on responsible leadership in the creative industries.
