Explanation :
As the Gender Studies Research and Application Center (EKOKAM), we aim to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 with the active participation of all university units working in this field.
The fourth IUE Gender Studies Development Workshop, which is held annually to promote collaboration and share academic, educational, and social contribution efforts in gender studies at our university, will take place on March 5, 2026, in the Conference Hall. Please find below the workshop program.
In the morning session of the workshop, we will watch and discuss the video series “Remember This Crowd” (Bu Kalabalığı Hatırla), prepared by the Women for Women’s Human Rights Association, moderated by Attorney Figen Merder. In the afternoon session, examples of our University’s gender studies initiatives will be presented, and we plan to conclude the workshop with a broad participatory forum.
On Thursday, March 5, during the all-day booth events, EKOKAM, the Faculty of Law, the Vocational School, and the IUE Press will share their educational, research, and community engagement activities through stands located on the ground floor of Block A.
Women’s cooperatives will simultaneously offer their products for sale in the Block A Cafeteria Area between 10:00 and 17:00.
The workshop will be conducted in Turkish.
Academic and administrative staff, as well as students, are invited to participate.
