Explanation :
As part of the Teacher Training Plan for Spanish language instructors organized by the Program Directorate at the Embassy of Spain in Türkiye, annual training conferences are held for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) in Türkiye. These conferences were held at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul until 2023. In 2024, the event was renamed the “ELE Teachers' Meeting” and took place at Ankara University. This year, it is being hosted by the University of Economics in İzmir.
This event is the result of collaboration between the Embassy of Spain, the Education Office in Bulgaria, the Program Directorate in Türkiye, the University of Economics in İzmir, the Tourism Office, the Cervantes Institute in Istanbul, the Regional Government of Andalusia through the EPG Turismo y Deporte de Andalucía, Spanish publishing houses, and various partner institutions.
The purpose of this event is to bring together the ELE teaching community in Türkiye to exchange ideas and enrich their knowledge related to the didactics of Spanish as a foreign language.
