Explanation :
We are hosting an event where artist Hiroyuki Takahashi will deliver a presentation and demonstration on Japan’s traditional calligraphy art, “Shodo.”
Shodo calligraphy master Takahashi Hiroyuki will be our guest at JIKAD Association on May 11–12, 2025. On Monday, May 12, 2025, the artist will also conduct a workshop at the University of Economics.
The Japanese Shodo master will first give a presentation on the fundamental concepts of Shodo, the philosophy behind the art, and how characters vary depending on the writing styles. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to practice Japanese calligraphy together with the artist.
(The presentations can accommodate 40–50 participants, and registration will be limited to 20 people for the workshop.)
