GREEK STAGE DESIGN EXPERT THOMAS ECONOMACUS WAS AT IUE

Greek Stage Design and lighting expert Thomas Economacos was at Izmir University of Economics in the scope of Applied Workshop Study course given by Asst. Prof. Deniz Hasırcı. Economacos that has made the stage and lighting designs of theatres and performances in countries like Greece, The Netherlands, England and Germany, works in Athens State Theatre and various dance and private theatres in Greece. He makes a big impact with little equipment by using light, color and video effects.

After the long common study and the workshop that lasted two days, he gave information about artificial lighting, color usage and methods in light, video projection and light combination on stage, collective effect of different lights, the impact on the audience, light positioning on stage. After that, Planets, Stage Lighting Design/ Stage Performance and Exhibition took place in which the products of these two days can be seen. With these studies, the students learned very important things about lighting and stage design.
