IUE EDUCATES THE WHOLE WORLD
German students will be learning “International Accounting and Financial Reporting” at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). 72 German students will receive training on International Financial Reporting Standards and Financial Statements Analysis at the summer school that was organized by IUE Department of Business Administration between the dates of July 21-28.
Lecturers Prof. Dr. Serdar Özkan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tarık Arıkan Saygılı, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Karaibrahimoğlu of IUE Department of Business Administration will teach “Fundamentals of Financial Reporting” at the summer school to German students of Duale Hochschule Baden Württemberg (DHBW) University.
Prof. Dr. Serdar Özkan, Head of IUE Department of Business Administration and Department of Accounting and Auditing, stated that the organization was such an honour for Turkish academia, and he said, “The financial reporting analysis, which is prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, is a relatively new system for approximately 122 countries, including the EU countries. It is of vital importance for our academicians to be teaching this system to German students in terms of IUE academicians sharing their expertise with the whole world. Our purpose is to make Izmir and our University to become a knowledge base on these subjects.”
