THE COSTUMES COMPETED AGAINST EACH OTHER
The Convention attracted a great deal of attention of the participants mainly from Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara with the costumes inspired by anime, manga, games, and movie characters of Japan and Far East. The students, who competed with different costumes, had a good time with dance performances and various activities in the organization which is increasing its popularity worldwide.
IUE Anime Manga Club President Ata Egemen Çakıl stated that the participation to the Convention, which has been organized for the third time, has been increasing every year. He said, “We are planning to repeat the organization with a few different activities since it attracts great attention. Big Conventions, in other words, big cosplay festivals which include cosplay photo shoots, video shoots, dance performances, competitions, karaoke, games, and film screenings are becoming widespread worldwide”
Izmir University of Economics Japanese Instructor Senem Erbaş said that the organization introduced different aspects of the culture of Far East and that IUE would have a chance to represent Turkey at the festival in Japan.
