HALCYONS WILL BULLDOZE THROUGH
American Football Club of Izmir University of Economics, which is one of the representatives of American Football in Izmir, is off to a pretentious start with its new team.
Halcyons, established 3 years ago, strengthened their team with new students before the new season started. The team, which gets lots of attention among other 75 clubs of IUE, draws lots of attention not only with their games but with their trainings as well. The team members get attention because of their aggressive looks; as players and because of their uniforms and well disciplined workouts.
They get ready with intense workouts for 1st League B Group games which will start in 2012.Since they could not perform well due to injuries last year; they will enter the season pretentiously this year with a team of 50. American Football Club Chairman Can Koparan said that, “We experienced some misfortune last year. We are better organized this year. We hope to see not IUE students only, but all fans, who cheer for this team at our games.”
