IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS RECEIVES JEAN MONNET CHAIRS HONOR
The European Commission in Brussels has supported Asst. Prof. Dr. Ertugal with Jean Monnet Chairs honor thanks to her expertise and researches on European integration. In addition to this honor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ertugal has also received funding to support guest speaking and round-table conferences for three years. This reward, given by European Commission, will also allow for her research and teaching at Izmir University of Economics.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ertugal emphasized the importance of this honor in academia, and she stated, “I’d been granted this award due to my specialty in European integration and my researches and lectures on this subject. This is not just an award but a title. There will be financial support for three years. This achievement, I received on behalf of Izmir University of Economics, is such bliss for me.”
What is Jean Monnet Chairs?
Jean Monnet Chairs is a part of European Commission Jean Monnet Programme and it was established in honor of Jean Monnet, founder of European Communities. This program aims to increase the knowledge and competency on European integration in undergraduate and post graduate studies in higher education institutions worldwide.
