FAMOUS FASHION DESIGNER HANIFE ÇETINER WAS IN IUE
Famous Fashion Designer Hanife Çetiner came together with Izmir University of Economics, Department of Fashion Design students, and said that success needs patience, time and experience. Çetiner, who is especially well known by the clothes she prepared for beauty queens, said “I have attended 63 international competitions so far. My primary aim has been to present my country’s culture. I have been given 13 international awards in this field. The rich culture and history of our country had a strong influence on my taking these awards.”
Çetiner stated that she concentrates on thoughts before design, and said that since this year is the Year of Mevlana, she uses friendship, love and peace figures on clothes.
Çetiner also stated that Izmir University of Economics presents beautiful opportunities to its students and she gave some advice to the students. “You are being educated in a university that the concept of design finds acceptance. Try to utilize the materials given in the best way. Do not cut yourself loose from the atelier of this job.”
