SUCCESS MOMENTUM IS INCREASING
Stating that they are continuing to increase their success rate, IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu said, “As a university, we are increasingly taking the impact we have in the fields of education, research, and contributions to society to national and international platforms. The number of accredited departments at our university has reached 14, and we will increase this number even more in a short time. We have the first accredited ‘School of Foreign Languages’ in Turkey. As of 2022, while the rate of accredited departments in all state and foundation universities in Turkey is 14%, this rate is 37.5% at our university. Among 50 universities that entered TUBITAK's Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, we ranked 18th in the ‘number of projects carried out with international cooperation’ and 12th in the ranking of funds obtained from these projects. The number of references given to IUE academics in scientific studies conducted worldwide was 1,921 in 2018. This number has reached 5,234 as of 2022. These tangible achievements we have achieved have attracted the attention of independent authorities operating internationally. We are happy to be on the lists of the world's best universities.”
WE WILL WORK FOR YOUTH
Emphasizing the rapid changes occurring worldwide, Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu stated that universities that anticipate this change correctly and develop their education strategies accordingly will stand out. Prof. Dr. Abacıoğlu said, “We consider each of our students at our university as a global asset. We work with the goal of raising young people this country needs, who use science and reason as a reference, never settle for what they have learned, constantly question, and are not tired of working and researching. To achieve this, we focus on improving our technological infrastructure by following the requirements of the era. We constantly update our curriculum and form the academic staff from individuals with international experience. As a university, we always aim to do our best in order not to disappoint the young people's trust in us and their expectations.”
