Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Vocational School collaborated with Kuika, one of Turkey’s leading software development platforms, and organized a “Software and Design Camp” for its 35 students. Students of Computer Programming, and Graphics Design programs, who learned about next generation coding and software techniques from the experts throughout the camp, and prepared unique projects, received their certificates. 5 students with distinguished studies, projects, and innovative ideas, will be offered internship by Kuika and solution partners.
The camp, which intended to allow IUE students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, meet with the leading names of the industry and establish a business network, and improve themselves in different areas, lasted for 3 weeks. Kuika employees Kadir Bayar, Halil Evrenel, Doğukan Sağlam, and Serkan Hacıkabak provided the training at the camp.
“AN EXEMPLARY COLLABORATION”
Lecturer Burçin Önder, Director of IUE Vocational School, indicated that they signed an exemplary collaboration with Kuika in order to allow their students to self-develop, and get to know the industry and the latest technology closely. Önder said, “The main purpose of this collaboration with Kuika is to provide our students with new professional opportunities. Students learned about the apps on the Kuika platform, and created unique projects later on. Students are also provided internship opportunities after the training. Those, who passed the training successfully and received their certificates, will be able to provide freelance design and software support to interested companies via Kuika platform. Additionally, they will be able to sell the unique modules they design.”
“THEY ARE IN COMMAND OF DIGITAL LICENSE”
Önder stated the following: “Production technologies experience a rapid change. It is clear that we are going through a mobile transformation. Social networks and information, which are indispensable part of our lives, are also the capital of the institutions. We, as the Vocational School, have to train the human resources with the industry together. Our purpose is to raise individuals with high adaptability skills. With such collaborations, we lead the way to training of young people who know the technology up close, are part of the transformation, and have good command of digital license. Important entrepreneurs such as Murat Ihlamur, Süreyya Ciliv are in the executive board of Kuika. We prepare our students for the future in the best way possible by introducing them to the leading companies in the sector.”
