4TH IEU THEATRE FESTIVAL

Explanation :

İzmir University of Economics will host theatre enthusiasts on campus for five days as part of the 4th “IEU Theatre Festival.”

In addition to the IEU Theatre Club, the festival will feature performances by theatre groups from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory (Istanbul), Ege University Creative Drama and Improvisation Theatre (EYDOT), Çukurova University, Istanbul Technical University TİMİS Players, and Galatasaray University. The festival will take place on the IEU campus between April 20–24, 2026, and will be open to the public and free of charge.

As part of the festival, the traditional social responsibility project “a book instead of a ticket” will once again collect books for children aged 8–12. Guests can contribute to this meaningful initiative by bringing a book with them when attending the performances. The collected books will be donated to schools in need in cooperation with the Directorate of National Education.

The festival will also include surprise workshops and talks. All details can be followed through IEU’s social media accounts.

While İzmir University of Economics brings together the people of İzmir with various artistic events throughout the year through its “Art on Campus” project, the Theatre Festival will also bring together young participants from other universities with theatre lovers in İzmir.
