The Department of English Translation and Interpretation at Izmir University of Economics will host a panel titled "Sustainable Translation Summit II" on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:30.
The summit aims to create a dialogue between academia and the industry regarding sustainability in translation. Speakers Senem Kobya (CEO, Dijital Tercüme Ltd.), Assoc. Prof. Volga Yılmaz Gümüş (Anadolu University), and Mert Emirbayer (COO, Vergo Energy) will discuss sustainability from different perspectives. The panel will address sustainable language use, the future of translation and translation education, and corporate sustainability.
