Our university’s Art Coordination Office is launching a new series of “Art Talks” events. Aiming to bring artists and their creative worlds to our campus, the first session will host İzmir State Theatre Director Burcu Aksakal and Deputy Directors Fuat Şarbalkan and Ömer Polat.
In this inspiring conversation, we will meet three distinguished theatre artists whom we know both from their performances on stage and from their influential roles in theatre administration. Together, we will explore the essence of theatre, the actor’s deep connection with their character, the long journey behind the scenes, as well as the production processes within state theatres. From institutional structure to the intricacies of creation, many enriching topics will be discussed.
