THE CELEBRITIES’ FASHION DESIGNER IS AT IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS
Paul Scherer, fashion designer of Desperate Housewives’ beautiful actress Eva Longoria, will share his expertise with the future fashion designers of Izmir University Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design. In addition to Longoria, Paul Scherer also custom designs for American Singer Jennifer Rush, German Actresses Mirja du Mont and Sophie von Kessel, top model Heidi Klum, and German Singer Sarah Connor. Scherer will be teaching creative fashion to IUE students for a whole semester in 2014 – 2015 Academic Year.
Scherer, who lives in Germany, is known for creative textile design, creative fashion sketches, pattern preparation, and high couture. Scherer designs promotional outfits for brands like Bacardi, Camel, and Heineken, and he designs night gowns for special customers since 2010 by Paul Scherer Title.
IUE will host famous designers
Prof. Dr. Ender Yazgan Bulgun, Dean of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, stated that they are getting their students ready for future with top designers who are experts in their fields, and well recognized in professional life. Prof. Dr. Bulgun also stated that Paul Scherer’s designs were preferred by many celebrities. “The fact that Paul Scherer, an internationally recognized designer, teaching at our faculty will help broaden the horizons of our students. We will be working on creative fashion with Scherer. We will continue to bring internationally recognized designers with our students every semester in our department,” said Prof. Bulgun.
