IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS IS GETTING FESTIVE
Students of Izmir University of Economics will celebrate the arrival of spring with a festival. They will get a relief from the workload of the entire academic year with “Zeynep Dizdar” and “Mor ve Ötesi” concerts that will take place at the “13th Spring Festival” on May 5-6. There will be lots of performances, concerts, sports activities, and performances and concerts of student clubs as part of the programme prepared by the events unit, formed by IUE students, with a motto “There are No Exams because there is Spring Festival” for this year’s festival.
The festival will take a start on May 5 at 10.00 at IUE Conference Hall where Buket Uzuner, Gülşah Elikbank, and Yiğit Değer Bengi will join the audience for a literary chat. At 17.30, there will be Zumba Class and MacFit Show at the Basketball Field. IUE Amphitheatre will host the Folk Dances, Modern Dances, Latin Dances, and Tango Club performances at 19.00. Zeynep Dizdar will be singing her most popular songs at 19.15. Following Dizdar’s concert, the student groups Kilit, Torn Down, Los Pichos, Caveman, and Grup Turuncu will give mini concerts.
Casts of popular TV series are coming…
On the second day of the festival, the cast of the TV series “Güneşi Beklerken” will meet with the students at 11.30 at the Conference Hall. At 15.00, the cast of another popular TV series, “Kardeş Payı” will visit Izmir Economics. Dj Party – Redbull will perform at 16.00 and 19.00 at the Ceremony Field. At 18.30, the Rhythm Club will perform at the Amphitheatre. The festival will end with the concert of Mor ve Ötesi that will come on stage at 21.30.
