STARS ARRIVED AT IUE SPRING FEST
Well-known columnists Ertuğrul Özkök and Yılmaz Özdil met with the students at the panel themed Famous People of Izmir; “To be an Izmirian”’ where Atilla Sertel, President of Izmir Association of Journalists (IGC) was the moderator. They discussed the effects of being from Izmir on their lives and answered the most wondered questions by the students. Rector Prof. Dr. Tunçdan Baltacıoğlu and Festival Team Leader Zeynep Kaya cut the Izmir University of Economics cake together with columnists Ertuğrul Özkök, Yılmaz Özdil and IGC President Sertel.
Later, Jozi Zalma, who’s known for his famous radio show called “Geveze”, humoured the students with his jokes. Geveze entertained the students with body language courses while making them emotional from time to time. Festival Team Leader Zeynep Kaya presented him with “The Radio Broadcaster of the Year” award on behalf of IUE students.
The Kuzey-Güney TV Series Team, which is one of the most favourite shows lately, talked with the audience. The actors Ali Yörenç, Hazar Ergüçlü, Rıza Kocaoğlu, Turgay Kantürk and Çağdaş Onur Öztürk were welcomed with cheers and applauses. At the end of the session, Secretary General Levent Gökçeer and the students presented them with their awards for “The Series of the Year Award”, which was determined by IUE students based on the surveys conducted by the Festival Team.
IUE Students enjoyed the games all day long at the Festival Field.
