CYLISTS FROM IUE HAILED IZMIR FROM BELKAHVE
The club members did a climb to Belkahve led by Ercan Aydın, the club leader, and Utkan Boyacıoğlu, a French language instructor from the School of Foreign Languages. Completing the 42-kilometer racetrack from Balcova to Belkahve with a challenging round, the cyclists paid tribute to Ataturk by observing a minute’s silence in front of the monument.
The members of the IUE cycling club, which was founded last year, are attending the tours on Thursday evening. The club is also preparing to organize another series of tours in the upcoming months : the first one taking place on October 29th , the Republic Day, the next one on March 18th to the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial and the third one on May 19th .
