COLOORFUL TOUCH TO AUTISTIC CHILDREN
Inspired by autistic childrens’ drawings sophomore students of Fashion Design department of Fine Arts and Design faculty of İzmir University of Economics designed goods and signed a social responsibility project called Colorful Hands.
Executed by Konak Autistic Children Education Center (OÇEM) and Fashion Design department of Izmir University of Economics students the project gave a life to the childrens’ drawings with students’ designs. The designs students come up with and the drawings of children will be exhibited in the 20/20 art gallery of Fine Arts and Design faculty of Izmir University of Economics between the dates of 12 and 26 May.
Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır Head of the fashion design department states that they gave a different importance to the social responsibility projects and goes on “ the projects our students reflect what they see and feel in their surroundings are very important for us. Thanks to these kind of projects we support our students having active roles in social cases instead of being just passive spectotors. Witand h the support of OÇEM director Hüseyin Kaya Colorful Hands executed by Fashion Design department instructors Angela Burns, Bilge Bulut, Ebru Corsini and Seda Kuleli and the shirts used in the project were supplied by Ertugrul Textile.
