PARTICIPATION FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES
IUE Art Coordinator Sinemis Eser Akaoğlu stated that there were participants from all over Turkey as well as countries such as Germany, India, France, China and Italy. Akaoğlu said, “Our competition attracted great attention this year as well. We have chosen among many valuable works. We were very happy that the works came from cities in different regions such as Bitlis, Muş, Ankara, Van, Diyarbakır and Samsun. The clearest judgment that everyone is aware of is that we are going through a difficult period as the whole world. All boundaries were re-questioned with the chain of events that took place one after the other. Our purpose was to show the ‘boundaries’, some of which became sharper and clearer with the new world order, and some disappeared, through the eyes of photographers. The people who participated in the competition reflected this well. We will continue to organize competitions reflecting different content related to art in the upcoming period.”
