MEMBERS OF THE PARLIAMENT DISCUSSED AXIAL DISLOCATION

The panel entitled “Axial Dislocation in Turkey's Foreign Policy” organized collectively by İzmir University of Economics International Relations and EU and Ege University International Relations Club got the İzmir members of the parliament together. Canan Arıtman, Member of the Parliament from CHP and Oktay Vural, Member of the Parliament from MHP stated that the axis of Turkey was dislocated.
In the panel that took place in İzmir University of Economics Conference Hall and lasted two days, Canan Arıtman got together with the students and underlined that Turkey’s foreign policy is moved to a different side with the AKP government.
Arıtman expressed that the agenda was occupied by artificial subjects and said, "Today, the most important security problem of our country is terror. Since the source of terror is connected to foreign countries, the foreign policy is highly important. We were standing up right in foreign policy since the foundation of the republic. With the latest government, this has changed completely. The rising terror is the alarm of this wrong policy.”
CHP Member of Parliament Canan Arıtman emphasized that the universities and the young people were the future of Turkey and stated that the panel organized collectively by İzmir University of Economics and Ege University student clubs was very promising for the future."
MHP Member of Parliament Oktay Vural made a speech in the second day of the panel and stated that the axis of Turkey was dislocated and it was threatening, he also said that their party was against this attitude. Following his speech, Oktay Vural talked with the students and answered their questions. At the end of the panel, İzmir University of Economics Department of International Relations and EU lecturer Asst. Prof. Işık Gürleyen presented a plaquet to Oktay Vural.
