BIG SUCCESS OF ASSOC. PROF. DR. YETKİNER
Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yetkiner, has achieved a phenomenal success by being the 18th Economist with the most cited articles in Turkey, according to REPEC (Research Papers in Economics) statistics.
REPEC database system, with a member of 30 thousand economists and 12 thousand institutions worldwide, has ranked faculty members with the most cited articles in 2011. According to REPEC Turkey statistics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yetkiner has made it to the top 10%. Yetkiner has been the only faculty member who made it to top 20 among all the universities in Aegean Region. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yetkiner has also ranked 19% in Europe with the most cited articles.
About 1 million of articles, papers are downloadable in REPEC database where approximately 1 million 135 thousand materials are registered. Of these registered materials; 430 thousand are working papers, 675 thousand are articles, 2 thousand 400 are software, and 28 thousand are books. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yetkiner has stated that it was a big success to be in the top 20. He’s said that, “This is not my success alone. I want to express my gratitude to Izmir University of Economics because they provide a perfect ambiance for research. My articles ranked top 10% in Turkey and top 19% in Europe among the most cited articles. I’m also currently working on two books, one in Turkish, and one in English.”
