THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A TEACHER IN ALL OVER WORLD WITH CELTA
The training that is given by School of Foreign Languages Teacher Development Unit will be offered two times this year due to the increasing demand.
İzmir University of Economics is the only CELTA course in İzmir, which provides education opportunity for the foreigners living in Turkey and the people who completed their education in Faculty of Education and 80 people have received certificate so far. School of Foreign Languages Director Asst. Prof. Evrim Üstünlüoğlu stated that the course was organized by a few universities in Turkey and said, "The people who take this course and receive certificate can be an English Teacher in all over the world. It is very important for especially the foreign academicians to receive this certificate so that they can be employed in better places. This course is given by Language Schools and few universities in Turkey."
Asst. Prof. Evrim Üstünlüoğlu underlined that CELTA course was being offered by İzmir University of Economics for 5 years saying, “We have given CELTA certificate to 80 people so far with the course given by the experienced teachers of Teacher Development Unit, Steve Darn, Robert Ledbury, Funda Çetin, Ian White and Margaretch Perruci. The demand increases each year. That is why we will offer two different courses in the new academic year. Those who want to be a teacher in different countries of the world may participate in this course.”
