The 'Republic' concert by Sirius Quartet
Izmir University of Economics (IUE) continued its centenary celebrations of the Republic with the Sirius Quartet concert. The works of Ulvi Cemal Erkin, Necip Celal Andel and Ahmet Adnan Saygun, all of whom are composers from different periods of the Republic, were included the concert which was open to the public and free of charge.
Excitement reached its peak with the anthems, folk songs and tangos played by the classical music group Sirius Quartet. The participants had an unforgettable evening in the concert that took place on the campus of Izmir University of Economics.
IT WAS A SPECIAL NIGHT
Stating that they will continue to experience the enthusiasm of the Republic, IUE Art Coordinator Sinemis Eser Akaoğlu said, "We presented the works of very valuable composers raised by the Republic to the guests at the concert. Sirius Quartet accompanied us on this enjoyable, unique and special night. They shared unforgettable compositions once again. We would like to thank Sirius Quartet for giving us this wonderful day. We will continue to experience the enthusiasm of the Republic on our campus with art activities. We celebrate the centenary of the Republic and commemorate our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and all the martyrs with mercy, gratitude, respect and gratitude."
