''We are a Pioneer in Technology-Equipped Education'
Dr. Esin Çağlayan, Director of the Teaching and Learning Center at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), stated that they continue their efforts ceaselessly to provide a learning environment equipped with technology in line with the goal of 'excellence in education.' Dr. Çağlayan said, "We aim to make our students' learning processes efficient and effective with a technology-oriented education model."
Expressing that they take into account the needs and demands of the students, Dr. Çağlayan said they have prepared an educational infrastructure where young people can develop themselves and achieve success.
SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, AND TRAINING PROGRAMS
Dr. Çağlayan stated, "Our expert and experienced academics in the teaching staff carefully design the courses to encourage active participation of students and prepare them for the future with the most up-to-date information. As the Teaching and Learning Center, we organize seminars, workshops, and training programs for the faculty members to embrace innovative teaching methods and enhance their teaching skills. Our university offers various support programs to maximize students' success. Seminars and workshops on important topics such as time management, motivation, and research methods provide an effective approach to improving our students' academic performance. In addition, a collaborative and teamwork-oriented learning environment is created through the peer tutoring program."
STUDENTS CAN ACCESS WHENEVER THEY WANT
Dr. Çağlayan continued, " Our university offers students a rich learning experience by utilizing digital technology effectively, and we are a pioneer in this field. Tools such as a high-quality and interactive learning management system, video recording system, interactive course materials, and field-specific online learning software are used to provide our students with a technology-enriched learning experience. Our students have the opportunity to easily access course notes, presentations, videos, and other resources whenever and wherever they want." Dr. Çağlayan added that as the Teaching and Learning Center, they also support faculty members on the effective use of technology and offer special training programs.
