ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGNS
Prof. Dr. Ender Yazgan Bulgun, Dean of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, said that they did the fashion show shoots in advance this year due to the pandemic. Expressing that they have prepared a very rich and enjoyable program for the audience, Prof. Dr. Bulgun said, “Department of Textile and Fashion Design students completed their studies under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arzu Vuruşkan, Lecturer Jörn Fröhlich and Research Assistant Başak Süller Zor. They focused on sustainable and eco-friendly designs despite the consumption frenzy in fashion. As a result of long-term studies, they created remarkable designs that appeal to all tastes. Our cooperation with Yeşim Tekstil and Sun Tekstil as a department contributed significantly to us. Company officials shared their knowledge and experiences with our students as guests in courses. Firms also provided fabric to our students. We thank them for their support.”
OUR STUDENTS HAVE PROVEN THEIR QUALITY
Prof. Dr. Bulgun continued as follows: “Due to Covid-19, many institutions providing fashion education around the world could not hold their graduation fashion shows. Despite all the difficulties, we exhibited the works of our students on the digital podium using 'avatar' last year. It was an extraordinary work that attracted a lot of attention. This year, we will perform our fashion show in the best possible way under the conditions of the pandemic. In addition to the fashion show, we carried out a very meticulous, comprehensive work to make our graduation exhibition perfect. The catalog will include texts, 2D and 3D images, videos and animations describing the projects of our students. Young people who are preparing to graduate from our faculty has proven that they have undergone a qualified education and that they can work in line with the demands of the age and the sector, even before they graduate. Congratulations to them.”
